LJ is 21 months old
It is hard to believe that LJ is fast approaching his second birthday. I would love to share with you an awesome photo of him smiling at me but that wouldn't really capture true LJ at this point in time. Instead I could show you many of the back of his head, blurred images as he moves at a much faster speed than my camera and all the ones where he is half in the frame for the same reasons.
LJ is a boy on the go. He loves to run and climb, play ball (anything that involves a ball) and is starting to do puzzles, color, and play games. He loves books, riding in the wagon, going for walks and eating. His new word this week is "candy" and the timing couldn't be better with Halloween just around the corner.
I tried to get a photo of him with the pumpkin but he has this belief that all pumpkins should be thrown. I thought I would try the large one we have, however I found out he knew several new words I hadn't heard yet "kick", "push" "punkie (pumpkin) down!"
His language skills continue to amaze us as he adds in more and more words each day. He quickly learned some new words in the past two days to allow him to play board games with his sister. "turn," "dice" have been added to his vocabulary. He likes songs and is starting to ask for them by name "wee wee home" for "this little piggy went to market..." and "round" or "tickle" for "round and round the garden goes the teddy bear....."
LJ is also into throwing things if it seems to get him the attention he wants. He definitely is a rough and tumble guy and has learned how to tackle his big sister A-girl. He also has a very tender caring side that seems to come out when all the other kids go to bed. He finds one of the girls' dolls and gives them a ride in the stroller, cuddles with them saying "shhhh" He feeds his babies and takes them for walks around the house as well.
His favorite toys at the moment are trains, blocks, puzzles, balls, cars/trucks and books. He currently wears 3T shirts, 2T pants and size 8 shoes. His legs are still quite bowed and he seems to saunter rather than walk and somewhat resembles a Weeble tipping from side to side without falling over and of course grinning broadly as he goes along. He is a very happy go lucky kind of guy that doesn't seem to need as much sleep as the adults around him.
Happy month birthday little big guy!
